Historiographical research project produced by the AMATEySAGA architecture studio of Eva Amate and Manuel “Saga”. Manuel “Saga” has used his research on the recreation of the foundational map of Valdepeñas de Jaén as part of his doctoral thesis: Sánchez García, M. (2022) Siblings Overseas. Foundational landscape, law, land distribution, and urban form in 16th-century Spanish colonial cities. Three cases of new towns in Jaen (Spain), Nueva Granada (Colombia) and Cuyo (Argentina). Doctoral Thesis. Politecnico di Torino, University of Granada. Supervisors: Professors Juan Calatrava and Sergio Pace. Carried out thanks to the sponsorship of @granada_universidad and Politecnico di Torino. Under the Erasmus Plus Projects international exchange program.
